The Filthy Six are the most exciting, authentic soul jazz outfit in the country today and are fast establishing themselves as one of the finest live acts around. A London based group, they play a hip-shakingly powerful mixture of soul jazz, funk and boogaloo in the finest traditions of late 60's Blue Note artists such as Lou Donaldson, Grant Green, Jimmy McGriff and Donald Byrd. Equally at home in the dancehalls of club-land or the more traditional jazz room setting, their music appeals to move-busting dance floor groovers and potent chin-scratching jazz heads alike. Blimey.

The Filthy Boys have just signed a deal with the legendary ACID JAZZ records and have been beavering away in the studio the last few months, putting the finishing touches to their debut long play album. Due out in spring 2010, this is going to rock your socks off - fact
Recent filthy business has included making their debut in the main room at the world famous Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club (following on from last years six month residency of Ronnies Bar, upstairs at the club); headlining the Acid Jazz 21st Anniversary Do; a series of festival slots including London Jazz Festival; Greenwich Jazz Festival; Marlborough Jazz Festival; Goodwood Revival Festival; Ealing Jazz Festival; Glastonbury festival (headlining the Jazz Lounge with a roof raising (well, tent tearing if you're being pedantic) humdinger of a set!); and a killer gig at the legendary Jazz Cafe, London. They have also been invited to burn up venues (on a strictly cash only, no questions asked basis) and dancefloors all across the UK and Europe, including shows in Stockholm, Paris, Geneva, Isle of Wight International Jazz Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
